Abstracts/Presenter information
Abstract Submission:
Abstracts for oral presentation must be submitted in English, in Microsoft Word, and not exceed one page in length. Each abstract must clearly and concisely summaries the proposed material to be presented. It is intended that abstracts will be used in conference proceeding, proposed to be printed and distributed at the conference, and as such it would be of interest to have abstracts as uniform as possible so please follow guidelines for formatting in example abstracts below where details of recommended font, margins and formatting may be located.
The deadline for submission of oral abstracts is April 4th 2011. Please submit all abstracts to either Gwen O'Sullivan (gwen.osullivan@plymouth.ac.uk ) or to Stephen Mudge (smudge@exponent.com) and indicate the type of submission in the subject line e.g. Presentation. Abstracts with a strong commercial slant will not be accepted.
Posters:
A maximum of 100 abstracts will be accepted for the poster sessions. Posters should be hung at the commencement of the conference and removed on the final day. Authors of posters should be available to discuss content at scheduled times. Material for hanging poster will be made available at each poster stand. Poster dimensions will be 4 feet (122cm) tall by 6 feet (183cm) wide.
The deadline for submission of poster abstracts is April 4th 2011. Please submit all abstracts to either tina@inefconference.com or to michelle@inefconferenc.com and indicate the type of submission in the subject line e.g. Poster.
Presentations:
Speakers are required to use Microsoft PowerPoint to prepare presentation and are encouraged to bring an extra copy of presentation on disc or flash drive. Presentation will be approximately 25 minutes with 5 minutes for questions. Each speaker will be provided with a laptop, projector and microphone for their presentation. If additional equipment is required, please specify your needs at the time of submission of abstract.
Workshops:
Workshops will be between 2 and 4 hours in length depending on the subject. Speakers are required to use Microsoft PowerPoint to prepare presentation and are encouraged to bring an extra copy of presentation on disc or flash drive. Course instructors are responsible for the preparation and reproduction of any hand-out material beyond the abstract. Course instructors can pre-arrange local production of hand-out materials with either Gwen O'Sullivan or Stephen Mudge.
Publication of Proceedings:
The Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) will publish manuscripts submitted to the conference for publication. Once an abstract is accepted manuscripts will be due by July 15th 2011. All authors whose abstracts are accepted will be required to submit a manuscript for publication.
